Watching new parents with a fresh little babe never gets old! There is something so special about capturing their new love in the comfort of their own home. Especially when their home is so cute! Taking photos of my girls makes me happy! I love trying new things and just letting them be. Ava has loved getting her photo taken lately… Tess, not so much. That’s why you see a lot less of her. She runs away pretty fast! I love Ava’s curls and I hope they never go away. Tess has the most hilarious personality and always has messy hair. Staying home with kids so much can get monotonous, but finding the small beautiful moments in motherhood bring joy everyday.
Halloween + Personal Post
Holidays are so much more fun with kids! We went to the pumpkin patch at Schmit’s Farm and the kids had a blast! They loved it so much, we went twice. This was the first year Tess understood trick-or-treating and she was INTO it! It was so fun to watch her. She was not afraid to get right up there and take as much candy as they would let her (which was a lot)! She pretends to be a kitty all the time, so this was the perfect costume for her. Josie + Lifestyle Newborn
I love this family! They recently welcomed tiny Josie into the family and I’m so grateful Tara asked me to document this exciting time in their lives. There’s nothing quite like having a newborn around. They are all so smitten with her. And look at that head of hair! She was so sweet. The best compliment as a photographer is having return clients. Lemmon Family + Little Cottonwood Canyon
Oh little Maisy! She completely stole my heart at this session! I mean, how adorable is she? She was so perfect the whole time even though it was windy and a little chilly. I used to work with her beautiful mom Brighton, before I had my first baby. I love anytime we are able to get back together. She was such a great friend to have at work! I loved watching her husband Dean with his little girl. You can tell she has him wrapped around her tiny little finger. He is so cute with her! Thanks for having me Lemmon family.

I was lucky enough to photograph Elena and her adorable kids last year (see that session here). Her husband was deployed and she wanted updated family pictures to send to him. They are so sweet! I loved being able to see them again and their daddy got to join them this time! Yay! Kids grow and change so quickly… it’s fun to see them each year.

Motherhood. It’s intense, difficult, exhausting, incredible, fulfilling, joyful, heartbreaking, challenging, messy, and a million other things. I think all mothers wonder if they are doing it right, get confused about where to go for help and information. There are so many conflicting opinions out there when it comes to parenting. Just remember we all screw up at times but we are doing our best. Give yourself grace. Kids are so loving and can forgive in an instant. Hammocks + Summer
Sometimes I shoot personal work on film. Since all the pictures from my childhood are on film, these instantly feel like old memories to me. I love that about it. And the colors are just so perfect. I will always remember summers hanging out in the back yard after John gets home.
